Ah, so this is what autumn in the alps should be like. It is beautiful and sunny but extremely cold. The ground is frozen solid at village level, and rock hard on the mountains. The snow makers are on, and indeed some of the real white stuff may be falling towards the end of this week.
Not bad considering it is not even the end of October!
